10+ Examples of Wonderful Squarespace Websites

In today’s software Olympics, websites happened to be the most commonplace in any business, under the sun. To have a virtual monopoly over your business, a nice looking website with a friendly user interface is a must. Though there are umpteen website builders available in today’s market to cater to our online business needs, choosing the right fit is essential, as they hold the potency to make or break your business. Squarespace earned an undisputed reputation as one of the most robust and reliable website builders around. In this post, we want to bring to light some of the best websites ever designed and developed using Squarespace.

Fotio

Do you like olden Goldies? Then here is a blast from the past. The Chicago based online photo booth, Fotio is a spectacular Squarespace website with a quaint appearance and sharp grayscale images. It thus elevates the extraordinariness of ordinary life. The sharp and tasteful selection of the images combined with clean text makes it stand apart from the cluster of its competitors. Its austere simplicity seems to be a deliberate choice in order to avoid unnecessary distractions for the visitors of the website. This virtual photo booth stands as a perfect example of the new trend called “less is more” and Squarespace’s tagline “build it beautiful”.

Cornell Crème

Another Squarespace website on the list with a minimalistic approach. The decent landing page of Cornell Creme has two menus at the top left, a video followed by an array of images before ending with a contact form. A shining example of a one-page website. It is a proven fact that people can easily assimilate our views if they are presented in visual form. The designers made the best use of the video to illustrate their product in a more devouring way. If that is not enough, you can have a gallery of pics which are nice on the eye.

Lumio

A luminous Squarespace website comes next in the row namely Hello Lumio. Contrary to the earlier websites in the list which embraced simplicity, this one is brimming with a rich flow of color sets and text that attributes soundness to the website. The website is a stunning sample especially if you want to grab the attention in less time. The aesthetic lighting in the right proportions and a well-timed slider on the landing page alongside other effects on mouse hovering calls the attention of the user in no time. It also offers great flexibility for localization as you can translate the text into multiple languages.

Egg Shop

The Squarespace website from the NewYork based restaurant Eggshop has everything to lure and satiate the hunger of eggetarians worldwide. A background slider with hand-drawn images along with a color combination that is simple and cool on the landing page offers great scope to address the needs of hungry jacks. Other things include a mouth-watering egg recipe on the center spread and as you scroll down there are other delicacies and a cookbook which is on the shelves now. So the egg lovers will get the centerpiece of what the website is all about without much digging inside. Of course, the inner pages enunciate its services and other nitty-gritty.

The Die Line

The Dieline is a heavy Squarespace website with an overload of information and details that powers the landing page. The website successfully manages multiple icons, links, and a host of menus without fail. This is a dazzling example to prove that Squarespace can be stable and handle any weight that you mount on the website. Yes, unlike with many other website builders in the market, it won’t break often. The website is said to be the brainchild of Andrew Gibbs, who is known for his artistic abilities. According to his fan world, he best knows the nuances of design.

Big Human

The New York-based product design and development studio, Big Human has its best work laid on its homepage to attract its customers. The vertically aligned menu brings some variance to the regular monotonous look. Though the website gives you a diminishing feel at the instance of landing on the home page, it slowly picks up the colors and shades as you scroll down. The lightweight website avoids huge raster images and unnecessary graphics. Instead, it uses pleasant vector images that help the page to load easily. If it happens to be your source of inspiration and matches to your draft, then take it without delay.

Expensify

Expensify offers simplified services in managing your expenses and the company has a clarion call on its a website too, it seems. Expensify website unveils many great features of Squarespace with a unique layout. The long scrolling makes the visitor stay there for a while whilst admiring its attention to detail. Arriving on it’s Home Page, the simple sign up option welcomes the customer base. Despite the great stuff spilled all over the page, the good breathing space between sections combined with the smooth navigation without any glitches ensures the retention rate. The menus are placed at the footer, just for a change. Very neat and crispy illustration throughout.

Maravillas

If your website is running out with manifold menus than normal, this website sample is just intended for you. The menus span three rows and more. Maravillas Squarespace website deals predominantly with menus and maps, but then you can customize it for your requirements. The users can have an uninterrupted tour of maps or other galleries of items with this template till they find their desired one. Each menu is clear and is clickable with a good font style. This is a good sample to show that even with a little bit of effort you could build a reasonably concrete Squarespace website.

UberEats

If you think that Squarespace is for mediocre business people you are probably misconstrued. Many International firms and top-notch companies also use Squarespace for their web presence. Take UberEats, for instance. The food delivery giant espouses Squarespace to design their simple and sweet Desktop/mobile applications and thus address their online needs. Kudos to the designers for cool and innovative animations. The rest including the navigation between menus, the image slider, background slider, and the overall performance of the application are, of course, world-class and stood to the brand’s reputation globally.  Establishing a food delivery app could never be so easy.

Indian Gardens

Indian Gardens holds a long history in serving various communities in fulfilling their multiple needs ever since 1947. From morning coffee to late-night chilled beers it offers an array of services and such esteemed businesses require a high-quality website. Because of this reason, it built a Squarespace website with a gentle slider on its the home page. The website put a landscape image showing a clutch of eggs the first thing on its page as the page mentioned it’s a sale. Scrolling down there is another landscape image of black coffee greeting us. The designers even integrated the online shopping feature which is the most common these days and which of course Squarespace has very much in store.

Knapsack

Another Squarespace website that stands apart with a plethora of features such as random image slideshow, popup images, beautiful text fonts, color sets, and small yet cute icons. The home page encompasses five menus at the center top and few logo designs below with text pop-ups placed in every section. The design certainly deserves applause as it has every feature in it that is praiseworthy. All the pop-ups are clickable and working. This shows the error-prone quality of Squarespace. Although the images are sharp and rich, we can see that they seldom affect the page loading. Of course, many images are loading as we scroll down.

New Inc

New Inc is next generation Squarespace website in every respect. The website boasts of a high voltage community of aspirants and ambitious people from art, design, and technology. And the website says it all upfront and upright. In this case, the designers just provided the basic skeleton to keep the main focus of the readers on the content. Because of this reason the skin and theme are plain without much flashy colors and animations. However, the images are outspoken and stolen total credit. The design just plays an anchor role. But it did the job efficiently and effectively.

Spoken Layer

Spoken Layer is another Squarespace website that boasts of its huge client base. It looks upon them with justifiable pride. They find Squarespace flexible to enunciate their client list so they opted for it. The home page more than anything else brags about their happy clientele and there are reasons more than one for Spoken Layer to be a happy lot with their Squarespace website as it allows them to beat their own drums and blow their own trumpets like a TomTom beater. Anyway, this template is for those who want to shed the light mainly on their clients and customers before anything else. By the way, it was designed using Squarespace’s York template.

Devon Stank

Devon Stank is not a firm or a company. Yes, Devon Stank is a Harrisburg PA-based web developer who has developed his portfolio using Squarespace with Mercer template. The home page of the website runs a video in the background with clickable menu items, one of which even allows us to download his resume. A carefully crafted website (yes, there goes a lot of effort and thought as we can see it) that can offer some inspiration to the designers and developers out there to sit and build their own portfolio. However, on the brighter side, it wouldn’t take much time if you have hands-on with Squarespace.
